Get in Form is a WDC2012 development project of the City of Helsinki Sports Department and its partners.

Objectives of the work
The project aims to increase the amount of daily exercise and provide low-threshold exercise opportunities for all age groups and people.

Achievement
The City of Helsinki Sports Department was responsible for the project, with the City of Helsinki Construction Agency as its partner.

The service concept, the fitness equipment and the look of the project were designed by the Design Reform team. Betonipallas Oy participated in the design of the concrete sections. Landscape and site design was handled by Näkymä Oy. Wood and metal parts were manufactured by Lappset Group Oy and Vihdin Betoni Oy was responsible for the production of concrete parts

The end result of the project
Prototypes of the project were installed on the route around the Töölönlahti bay in Helsinki and the opening ceremony was held on May 10, 2012.

The route provides all city residents with the opportunity to easily wake up in addition to the sports hall’s official outdoor activities. Easy access to excitement for all city dwellers. The fitness trail gives children, adults and the elderly a new way to enjoy exercise. The project supports the recreational use and general development of the Töölönlahti area in Helsinki.
