The Helsinki metropolitan area street scene was renewed in 2011 with the introduction of the new uniform blue-white buses for the Helsinki region.
During 2010, Design Reform, together with HSL, designed a uniform identity for Helsinki region buses.
The new HSL branded bus is identified by the dominant blue color and the curved shape on the sides. At the rear, the buses are white.
A slightly brighter shade of blue gives buses a fresh and gentle look. The new shade also stands out better in low light.
The reform also gave the airport lines 61 and 615 a cohesive look, where subscriber coloring is enhanced by the aircraft symbol.
